There is absolutely no secret that I am a lover of feeding dogs fresh, REAL food!
I approach training in a holistic way, meaning I take the whole dog into account when developing strategies for behaviour modification. This means that what we put in, is critical for what comes out.
I have seen first-hand how important gut health and mental health are and how they play a role in managing problematic behaviour. Not only this, but how inflammation caused by excessive weight or obesity can affect overall trainability.
Do you want to learn more about fresh food feeding?
A few years ago, fellow animal nutritionist, Sacha Packer from The Balanced Canine Sydney and I, teamed up to create a supportive community for pet parents wanting to learn more about fresh food feeding. We created a free Facebook group which is now home to over 50k members. Our group has resources to help you build a balanced diet, information on commercial products as well as supplements and provides an array of information to develop your knowledge. We hold regular competitions, free promotions and provide exclusive discounts. If you would like to join our Fresh Food Feeding Tribe, please join us here:
If you would like a little bit more support, I offer consultation services for transitioning non-medically challenged dogs to a fresh food diet. If you have a dog requiring clinical nutrition, please discuss your dog with a Vet Nutritionist such as Dr Ian Billinghurst, Dr Bruce Syme and/or Bentons Road Vet Clinic – both offer phone and online consults.
Phone consultations may be geared towards weight loss support, specific questions you have about what you are currently feeding or just to build your general confidence around fresh food feeding.
A 30 minute phone consultation costs $35.00 AUD and if you would like notes from our discussion, an additional $15.00 AUD is applicable.
