Performance Pet Foods Dog Treat Review

Heading Behind The Scenes at Performance Pet Foods.

I am FOREVER looking for healthy training treats for my dogs. Especially ones that ARE NOT full of flour, starch and preservatives, which seems to be a common flaw across the market.

What I look for:

I typically try to source SINGLE INGREDIENT treats, as it allows me to know EXCATLY what my dogs are getting; no hidden ingredients and no hidden preservatives.

This is how I came across Performance Pet Foods.

Through some serious research of what was available on the Gold Coast, I found this incredible pet treat company. I immediately went into investigation mode and tried to find as much information about Performance Pet Foods as I could. It doesn’t take long to realise that this company is top quality. Especially for one particular reason:

THEY ARE TRANSPARENT.

If you check out their Instagram and Facebook you will soon see a range of ‘behind the scenes’ photos. What is even more impressive is the fact that they are HACCP certified.

What is HACCP?

Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCPHACCP is a management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling, to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product.

What makes this certification so impressive is that fact that very FEW HUMAN FOOD FACILITIES have this, yet a company dedicated to manufacturing PET TREATS does. That is a massive win in my eyes.

After taking a full tour of their facility and meeting their staff, I am incredibly impressed with how these guys do business. The quality of the raw ingredients about to be dehydrated where of exceptional quality. The staff were honest, down to earth and incredibly passionate, especially the owner Luke.

Their Products:

Performance Pet Foods offer various dehydrated pet treats such as trotters, ears snouts, jerky, puffs, pizzles, livers, tendons, green lipped muscles etc, starting from around the $5.50 mark for a bag of approximately 100g.

Where can you buy?

You can purchase these awesome treats directly from their store in Southport:

Unit 3, Cnr Ward & Minnie Sts, Southport, Qld 4215.

You can also get their awesome treats from Scales Seafoods in Tweed Heads, K9 Command, International Dog Training School in Benowa, The Complete Pet Company and Green Grocer on Isle of Capri.

Why I like them:

Firstly, it goes without saying, their product is fantastic. Combine GREAT PRICING with TRANSPARENCY and the obvious PASSION for our pet’s health and wellbeing, how could you go wrong?
